2001 edition of the ageless 40/4 stackable chairs, for which the design was conceived by david rowland in 1956. in rowland's quest to find the greatest number of chairs to fit into the smallest space, he disovered that 40 chairs could be stacked to a height of 4 feet. today, the 40/4 chair is in design collections, museums, and prestigious locations around the world.
